What does the process look like?
To get started, I'll send you my tax packet which includes spreadsheets to help you get organized and a checklist of documents you'll need for your tax return. Prior to our meeting, you'll gather as much information as possible to bring with you when we meet. Next, at our 1-hour meeting we'll discuss your tax situation and make a plan for moving forward. After I've received all of your documents, I'll get to work on completing your return.
I meet in person in San Francisco or the East Bay, and can work with people outside of the Bay Area remotely via Skype.
I am a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer with a comprehensive tax education and a speciality in self-employment tax. I also have a Certificate in Accounting from City College of San Francisco and 9 years of experience working with a variety of bookkeeping systems.
As of January 1 2018, tax services are a flat rate of $475 per year. This includes a 1-hour meeting and filing your state and federal return. More complicated tax situations may cost a higher fee, but most tax returns fall under my $425 umbrella.
Our tax season begins February 1, 2018.
